Dunkenhalgh Hotel Clayton Le Moors in Blackburn, The hotel that looks like a castle !!
In a stunning setting. It’s the most picturesque landscape, with rolling hills (and cows) in what looks like the back garden. This was the venue choice for Robin and Nichola’s wedding.
I first meet Nichola and her mum to discuss what they wanted from me to capture their wedding day . We discussed all aspects of how I would capture the day as a story book, using my style of documentary photography, shooting everything as the day unfolded. Even the wedding shoes ;).
The day started with me meeting the bride and bridesmaids at the Dunkenhalgh in one of the hotel’s rooms, as they prepared to get ready. I couldn’t believe how cool as a cucumber Nichola was ! It was a very relaxed morning. Nichola’s dress was a Beautiful wedding gown from Bridalwear by Esme the designer was the popular Mori Lee. She looked amazing
The guys were getting ready in the same hotel so I went to see how they were doing . Relaxed !! well not as relaxed as the girls but they passed the time by play video games ( well boys will be boys) . I don’t actually know who won, but it most definitely calmed the nerves. Robin looked really stylish in his suit purchased from Greenwoods mens wear
The ceremony took place in a beautifully decorated room in the Hotel. There was a lot of happy tears, and for one moment , as I tend to do at weddings , my eyes filled up with the emotion.
The day went really smoothly which meant I had plenty of time to spend with Nichola & Robin taking beautiful images of them both. They wanted different images of them both in and around the grounds. Although we were racing against time as the light was fading fast , they made it very easy for me to capture the essence of them both. They were fun to work with and it shows in the images just how much they are in love .
